Its a breakthrough in my discipleship

MY TESTIMONY AFTER READING THROUGH THE Natural Discipleship (KEYS TO BEING SET FREE)

My name is Synpholeano Raphael Chisale, one of the Pastors in the United Methodist Church in Malawi who is very passionate to God’s service. Apart from that, I have been teaching the Mission, Evangelism and Discipleship course at a certain local Bible School in Liwonde town, known as Evangelical Baptist Bible College for almost six years now.

I have all evidence that my teaching services have largely convinced, inspired and impacted the lives of the students at this college. I believe this to be so because during my time of teaching at this school, students have composed two beautiful gospel songs from my discipleship course, a thing which had never happened before at this School.

The Principal of the School and the School Director have highly appreciated on what I have entrusted in their students.

However, since I began to go through the Natural Discipleship material, the ten Keys to Being Set Free, I have experienced something strange in my life. It has been as if I had never started my spiritual journey in discipleship. Yes, as if I had never been a teacher of a discipleship course before. Looking at the staff, I have rendered before though it was very convincing, it was like trash comparing to what I am encountering. The lessons of the book have brought me down to restart my journey of evaluating myself of what my spirituality is.

Checking myself in the hang-ups and addictions, fruits of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Godly wisdom and worldly wisdom, overcoming victimization, shame and regret among others, I am being convinced that my spiritual life have a lot to be dealt with by God.

Though I am not yet finished the book with my teacher, but through what we have gone through, my life
has benefited a lot from it. Below is a short list of results of being studying the book.

  1. Through the frequent rededication of my life to God, my spiritual life, faith and relationship with God has changed to another level.
  2. As I am trying to overcome victimization, shame and regret, I decided to forgive anyone who once harmed me in word and deed plus all people who borrowed money from me either of a large amount or small, I have forgiven everyone of who took money from me in form of a loan.
  3. In the process of freeing myself from hang-ups, I decided to return every penny I borrowed from anyone, whether a large amount or a small one, from respected people or my subjects, even from church members.
  4. My Sunday and Mid-week services sermons have changed its approach and pattern from the old type system and refreshed by the Natural Discipleship pattern and inspiration.
  5. My attitude towards sinners has changed. Instead of accusing/judging them I began to love and praying for them knowing that God knows and loves them more than me and that if we pray for them God will forgive and save them.

It is indeed a journey of refreshing oneself, no matter what you have gone through before. It gives a new grip of consciousness and deepening once understanding of God’s word. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, one is able to understand and grasp God’s love. It also reveals the Satan’s tactics and the ways of being set free.

May the name of the Lord be glorified.
